Vision Training
Vision Training can help us at all ages:
Children: One out of four children in school is
having difficulty in learning. The majority of their frustrations
come from poorly developed visual motor and visual perception skills.
These skills are directly related to learning and can be enhanced
through a program of vision training. Our office tests for these
skills on every child and when needed skilled therapist assist the
children in learning how to improve their visual skills.
Adults: Vision training can help those who have
suffered from poor reading attention, find they have headaches when
doing computer or reading tasks, or find they have to read and re-read
things again and again for meaning.
Visual Training may be used in the treatment of such conditions
as:
- Eye turn (strabismus)
- Lazy eye (amblyopia)
- Poor eye movement or eye focussing skills (fine visual motor
therapy)
- In traumatic brain injury (accident and stroke)
- Enhance specific visual abilities. (ie. required in a sport)
- Developmental and visual perceptual deficits
